Vhong Navarro and Deniece Cornejo to file case against each other

Deniece Cornejo speaks up and insists that Vhong Navarro tried to rape her.

It was all over the news tonight, either on ABS-CBN or GMA, the interview with Deniece Cornejo, the model who Vhong Navarro allegedly attempted to rape last Wednesday, January 22.

According to Deniese, she is the victim and insists that there was an attempted rape.

"Isa lang po masasabi ko. If you want justice, I'll give you the real justice. Mataas, napakataas ng respeto ko sa mga lalakeng marunong rumespeto at ipagtanggol ang mga kababaihan. Kung merong biktima at inosente dito, wala nang iba kung hindi ako," she told ABS-CBN News. "As much as possible, gusto kong maging pribado buhay ko at ayokong lumaki nang ganito . Hindi ko ito pinili, pinili nya to. Pero kung ang pangalan ko an nakasalalay at reputasyon ko, ibang usapan na 'yon."

Meanwhile, Deniece's close friend and the man who allegedly led the assault, Cedric Lee, also broke his silence, and according to him, he caught a naked Vhong Navarro in the act of trying to rape Deniece.

Vhong's camp is reportedly filing cases such as Serious Physical Injuries, Grave Threats, Grave Coercion, Blackmail, Unlawful Arrest and Illegal Detention against Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, Cedric's sister Bernice Lee, Zimmer and several others, while Deniece is also filing cases of Libel and Attempted Rape against the actor.

Now that both sides have been heard, who's now the more believable victim? Who should get justice?

While we just have leave it all up to the investigators, and the court should they file cases, netizens are already taking sides. And mostly are on Vhong's side.

Ancient Bohol mystery: Why are these tombs empty?

If there's one place in Bohol that has the perfect blend of religious significance and reality TV-worthy details, it would be the municipality of Dimiao.

Dimiao is famed for its cemetery, which the National Museum has declared a National Cultural Treasure. The cemetery is known as the Ermita Ruins.

Built in the early 1800s, the ruins include walls of tombs arranged like honeycombs—but they're all empty. The uniquely structured sepulchers are the only ones found in the Philippines.

According to the information on Dimiao website, the overall structure of the Ermita Ruins resembles that of the Paco Cemetery.

Historians have speculated that many of the area's residents died of an unknown epidemic before the cemetery was completed.

They theorize that the epidemic must have hit Dimiao hard, to the point where only a few members of the community were able to take care of the dead. This would explain why archeological teams have dug up some skeletons piled up in a mass grave, a patch of land at the very center of the empty honeycomb-shaped niches.
