After she came out with her tell-all confession about her gender preference on “The Buzz,” controversy still stalks international singer and Yahoo! Philippines OMG! Media Magnet Charice, whose mother, Raquel Pempengco, has finally broken her silence about issues surrounding her daughter.
In an interview published in “The Philippine Star” on Saturday, June 8, Raquel told entertainment editor Ricky Lo that her daughter no longer seems to be the child she raised and nurtured.

“She’s now like a stranger to me,” Raquel said.
Charice’s mom denied that she couldn’t accept her for what she has become. Raquel added that she only learned about her daughter’s sexual preference in 2010, when she (Raquel) was in the US.
